almost certainly some circumstances where a BYU degree will be a disadvantage, but there's no way to eliminate all that. You also ignore 1) that most BYU freshman have no idea what they want to do, so it's hard to pick an undergrad accordingly; 2) the extra student debt that schools like USC will place on a student; and 3) all the added bonuses that BYU provides an active LDS student that causes them to choose a "lesser" school. Smart kids picking BYU over "better" more prestigious schools has been going on as long as BYU's been around.
