Other school out there that provides a better opportunity for my kids to meet a spouse who shares similar beliefs and standards. That's more important to me than education to be honest. I know people can and do find great spouses at other schools but the percentages cant be beat at BYU. We have 3 generations and counting in my family of couples who have met and married at BYU. That alone I feel is worth directing my kids there and a BYU education is great and valued far more than you make it sound in your post. Best of both worlds. Send your kids somewhere else more room for people that really want to be there.
