Well he will get more exposure at Stanford; Until BYU is P5 this will be true

But there are other, non-football reasons, that may make it so that BYU is the better choice. So it totally depends on the situation. I don't think we can say, without knowing the full context, if Steve Young was off base recommending Stanford over BYU. It's possible Stanford WAS the better choice in that person's particular situation.
