That's a good point about the date, but consider this
So i'm a JV volleyball coach. There are six teams in our region. The two teams in our region are two of the best in the state. One of them has won 4A six years in a row, and the other won 5A two years in a row, but just got dropped down to 4A. This is mine and the head coach's first year at our school. The two best teams run a "fast offense," with lots of quick sets. The other four teams in the region run really slow, basic offenses. The top two teams absolutely destroys the rest of the region every year.

When we got there, we started running a faster offense, because we decided that we want to be up there with the other two teams. We started running this faster offense at both the JV and Varisty levels. At the beginning, there were TONS of growing pains. We were losing to teams that were significantly worse than us while we were trying to get our timing and consistency down in this more complicated offense. We got significantly better as the year improved, and the team started to understand the offense.

Here's how it relates. Yes, game experience is the best way to really learn something. But think about this. The whole team has to learn this new system. It's more complicated than ANae's system, and more complicated than any HS's system. When our freshmen are seniors, they're going to be able to make these reads and move without even thinking. The offense will be MUCH more fluid, and we'll be MUCH harder to defend. It'll be much harder for defenses to jump our routes, etc.

So, as I said, i'm not saying that Taysom is better or better for this system. I'm saying he's the better QB to handle the learning curves of the WRs, O-line, and running backs.
