It is actually perfect for BYU because it doesn't make you need to have incredible athletes at the WR position. You just need possession guys. Hopefully bigger guys that have great hands, but they don't need to be lightning quick just very good technique and route runners.
Think of Jerry Rice and Steve Young. Jerry was not the most athletic WR by a long shot. His speed was average and his frame is not great. But what could Jerry do? He was incredible in his technique and had great hands.
He developed a great chemistry with Steve and the rest is history.
