I had a good friend who was his tutor for a couple of classes.
Basically said Hoffman didn't enjoy football all that much. Wasn't willing to put in all the work to maximize his potential.

A Max Hall comment would be easier to believe coming from literally anyone else

If Hoffman had Collie's work ethic and route running ability, he'd be in the NFL

He is, isn't he? Who just signed a practice deal?

Hoffman wasn't nearly the athlete Collie was

Collie was also sharing production with Pitta and some other solid receivers.

True. Good point. Hoffs numbers were probably inflated because of that
credfern84
10/26/16 10:27am
It also speaks to Hoff's talent to be the only target and still have crazy

Collie also didn't have to make the catch with DBs draped all over him because he actually ran crisp routes and got open

Hoffman was not as fluid as Collie and could not get the same separation...hence

Koz, Drage, Plater, Cahoon, but I'd be tempted to bump a few of those past Hoff

Collie was so good that if he got single coverage, the QB was to throw to him, no matter what. Only the best get that.

Collie was a master route runner, glue for hands, and faster.

Collie was so good Chuck Norris asked him for advice.

Difference between collie hoff and Drage...

Haha Collie was not very coverable, and he was a better route runner than Drage. No offense to Drage...

That is true. When Collie got injured he was leading the NFL in receptions

Exactly, and despite playing in those very good passing offenses and playing 4 years compared to Collie's 3 years....

Collie played against TCU twice, he had over 100 yards in both games. Collie did well against press coverage...

And let's break down the TCU games Collie played in since you are so focused on those games....
