Collie played against them in 2007 and 2008.
We won in 2007 and lost in 2008, so your claim that one of the reasons we got killed by TCU two years in a row is because Collie couldn't get open is false, we won once against them.
In the game we won in 2007, Collie had 4 catches for 109 yards, I would say that's pretty good. And if I remember correctly, there were a couple of times Max missed Collie on some plays in that game.
In 2008 when we lost Collie had 6 catches for 116 yards, that's a lot of production for a guy who you thought couldn't get open against them.
Here are the real reasons we lost in 2008, and they had absolutely nothing to do with Collie.
We only had 66 yards total rushing, Max was sacked 6 times and hit several more times, Max fumbled 3 times and lost two of them. That's why we lost. We couldn't run the ball and we couldn't protect Max. Collie was still able to get 116 yards on 6 catches despite that. And Gary Patterson adjusted to Anae, Anae didn't make his own adjustments to counter Patterson's adjustments, that also played a big role in the loss.
Your perception of Collie and those TCU games is wrong, your perception that Drage and Hoffman were better than Collie is really wrong according to every objective measure.
You are just wrong on this one.
