Uhh, no. He's somewhat re-written the book on mechanics, but his form is...
...unique and was criticized earlier in his career. His consistently amazing shot percentages pretty much shut down his critics, but he does not possess what is commonly thought of as "classically" great or pure shot mechanics.

Curry does do some unusual things with his mechanics. While Klay Thompson has a pure, classic form - exactly what you'd show on instructional videos - Curry releases the ball earlier in his jump and also has some significant body rotation, which somehow seems to help him casually shoot from extended range. Because of his ultra-quick release and wrist technique, he often looks like he short-arms his follow through, which many believe to be a big no no in shot mechanics. Definitely unique, definitely not classic form.

The results Curry has gotten has lead people in recent years to love his form, but that was not always the case.
