I understand and agree with you... my original point was just that maybe Liefson
...can remain a consistently good shooter despite some unorthodox mechanics.
I consider Curry to be probably the greatest shooter in history, despite not having the most orthodox of mechanics.
Reggie Miller, Leandro Barbosa, Jamaal Wilkes, Shawn Marion -- these are a few other NBA stars who were excellent shooters with not-so-classic shooting forms.
