1. Why BYU hasn't won a WCC........because Gonzaga is a better program. They are one of the top what, 10 programs, maybe top 15? (using my own made up stat of national name and total wins over the last 10 years) They have better talent. Year in and year out. They have a very good/great coach. And they do it in with a smaller gym.

2. Gym size. Look, kids are swayed by facilities. It is an arms race, take a look at all the stadium improvements being done by the big boys in hoops or football, look at the training facilities and all the stupid things like the slide recently installed at one place so players could easily go from one level to the next. (I heard about it on sports talk, don't recall who it was) So the bigger you look, the more elite you look does have some impact, this is believed by most schools. Ask a kid if they would rather play in front of 5000 or 15,000 and I'd bet 90% of them would say the more fans the better. Now, that makes IMO what Gonzaga has done even more impressive....they aren't in a talent hot bed and they aren't elite with facility capacity. (not sure about quality of facility) So the Zags are an exception and kudos to Mark Few.

3. Not smart of a BYU player to post about it......yep. For fans? Not a big deal, we're fans. Others whine about our age advantage.....we whine about their small high school like gyms and lack of atmosphere or how cold it was (back in the Wyoming days) or being a truck driving school (Boise) or whatever it is. To me, it looks like small time basketball when i watch it on tv at a gym with a few thousand people and it feels like it.....to me. Gonzaga is the exception.
