You do realize that no coach in BYU's history has taken BYU to the NCAA tournament as consistently as Dave Rose, right? It may be an uphill battle to make the tournament this year, but is that really a surprise? Look at this team. We effectively have one rotation player back from last year at this point. We are starting 2 FR, 2 SO, and a transfer SR who is battling injuries and would probably come off the bench behind another SO if he were healthy. This team has a lot of talent, but they are also learning how to play together. Realistic fans expected ups and downs coming into the season (UVU was definitely a bit lower than most expected, I can admit that).

You also kept repeating the phrase "let it fly" which commonly refers to launching 3 pointers over and over. I also think your criticisms are exaggerated and tired. BYU is not a great defensive team, and they could improve their consistency, but they do have good games. The team, and primarily Nick Emery, guarded Jared Brownridge very well, as an example. The same was true of Kyle Senglin. As far as shot selection, there aren't a lot of metrics available, but my opinion is that there has been significant improvement during this season, which is a clear example to me that Rose is coaching them to be both aggressive and disciplined.
