You make some great points. I think the only place we differ is whether BYU would have gotten him drafted.
Here is what he did not get at BYU:
He did not showcase any ability to hit the 3 point shot. Mika has to play a stretch 4 in the NBA. In 2 years HE WAS 0/1 FROM 3! One shot in 2 years of playing. That's horrible on the coaching staff. At Utah, Kyle Kuzma shot 84 last year. Mika is a good shooter, and he can learn to shoot the 3 pointer. But he has to practice them like crazy, and he has to be given an opportunity in the game. He will get that in G league. He wouldn't have at BYU.
Mika dominated Gonzaga's bigs, yet this freshman goes #10 because he shot 10/21 from 3 this past year and is 19 yrs old. Mika's not getting younger at BYU, and he's not shooting 3's at BYU. I don't see how he gets drafted in another year, or another 2.
He's too old. He's too unproven shooting deep.
