For the past 6 season, only 30 guys get "called up" from d-league teams...
...to NBA teams. That's, what, 5-8% of d-league players. And probably only 10-day contracts for many of those guys anyways.
You're making it sound like everyone goes to the d-league, just like everyone goes to the baseball minor leagues. That's not how it happens and never will be how it happens.
Just because it got a new name doesn't mean the d-league is your path to the NBA.
