No.. they didn't... its different

Rayshad Lewis's transfer falls under the NCAA transfer rules, not the NLI transfer rules.  Lewis played a full year under scholarship so his NLI was satisfied.

However, The NCAA transfer rules state that you still have to sit out a year when you transfer*.  So Rishad is also redshirting this year.

Again...  The NCAA rules do not work in favor of the player

 

 

* There are exceptions, however since Rayshad was under scholarship and can't prove a 'hardship' transfer ("i want to switch schools" isn't a hardship) he is bound by the standard rules.
