The recruiting budget number really surprises me.

The Department of Education report puts the number for BYU at just under $1 million. The state legislature gave Utah State $1.5 million specifically for recruiting. The latest Utah recruting budget was $1.85 million. And BYU's budget covered 600 athletes, compared to 400 at Utah. Utah is spending 3x more per recruit than BYU. That shocks me.
