I respectfully disagree on this perceived national presence we have. I also used to think we had it but ge last few years have opened my eyes. most people in Houston I work with or encounter, unless they are Texas or U of H fans, they usually are not well aware of BYU. The conversation usually goes like this:

“BYU, ok. That’s where Urban Meyer used to coach right?”

“You guys have a shot at the Pac12 this year?”

2 weeks ago at the gym I even got “BYU? That’s where Alex Smith played college ball right?”
