Could we have good years?  Yes.

TCU has the ability to recruit in spots we cannot due to HC.  TCU is based in TX where they have a larger talent pool, even if it guys that don't go elsewhere.  They have a top tier coach (not saying KS won't get there but he is not Patterson yet).  They are more lenient on who they bring in.  My guess if you have a kid who is not LDS and the situations are the same that kid chooses TCU over BYU.

TCU has been very good in recent years, not sure it is realistic that we expect that year in and year out.  I believe realistic expectations are a very good BYU team every 4-5 years (top 10-15), with the other years been solid (8-10 wins).
