BYU has been irrelevant in football and men's basketball since the move to Indy
Correlation, causation, whatever. Fact is the major revenue sports at BYU have been a mess since we went Independent. It is a worse product on the field and court.
Could this independent / WCC thing work. In theory, sure. In practice our teams have absolutely sucked. We're not as competitive as in the recent past. We have our moments, but in general We're not fun to watch.
It's not very fun to be a BYU fan with the way things are set up now. Get in a conference or don't, just get better because right now being a BYU fan blows.
