Here's my experience of Gas vs Electricity cost for my Car
With a Tesla Model Y, I saved $1,564 in the last 12 months. About $130 per month.

April 2023 to March 2024

Total spent on Electricity: $708 for 4,728 kWh
Gas equivalent cost (based on average gas mid-size crossover SUV mpg and average monthly gas price): $2,272

93% Home charging at $0.13 /kWh ... $571 total
7% Supercharging at $0.41 / kWh ... $137 total

Using this math, someone could lease a Long Range Model Y tomorrow, get point of sale $7500 tax credit (even if they have high personal income or less that $7500 tax liability) and pick it up tomorrow and pay $3k down.

Then pay $386 per month for 36 months with $130 per month in gas savings.

So $3000 down, $256 per month Net payment to drive a brand new Long Range Model Y. And that doesn't include any state incentives if you have some.

Not bad.
