Obviously it's an experience that isn't required to live nor survive on this earth, but it is still a really cool experience and unlike any other experience on this earth.
It's weird to not realize how many animal noises there are around us until they suddenly go silent. I was on a lake, and to see it go from normal choppiness to glass to back to choppy was an added experience. To go from bright noon day, to some weirdly lit "twilight", to an awesomely lit night, to the weirdly lit twilight again, and back to bright noon day was an experience.
And then the view of the absolutely magical rings and flares of the sun that you can only see during a total eclipse. I'm not a stargazer, but a total eclipse is an amazing experience.
