I'm a traditionalist.
You could make the same argument for Clemson v. South Carolina, Florida v. FSU, Georgia v. Georgia Tech, but they all still play every year.
We need to preserve such a great rivalry and tradition. In my opinion, it should be the opening game of the season. The months of the summer would lead up to it, I think both teams would still get pretty hyped up for a season opener against the instate rival.
