Guy at work told me he knows for a fact BYU fans are racist
Said he and his daughter went to a wake forest game in provo and heard and saw "lots of fans" using racial slurs against the black players.
I listened for a second, but lost my temper. I told him that I grew up in Utah(he didn't know) and that I went to every home game from the age of 4 until I was 13(the suckiest part of the reid years).
I never once heard a single insult toward an opposing player, let alone a racial slur. You'd think if it even happened occasionally I would have heard it once.
I called the guy a liar and told him keep his mouth shut. Did I miss something? Even with the restrictions on the priesthood I don't think I've ever met a racist Mormon. Ignorant yes, but not blatantly racist.
