You have made an error related to Utah athletics.

Rebuttal:

1) Yup. Utah is a long ways off from back to back Rose Bowl berths. Is that supposed to be news? That said, Utah has the same number of BCS trophies as Wisconsin - 2.

2) You're right; the PAC is not the B1G. The PAC is better than the B1G and has been for many years. Just going back one decade PAC-12 teams are 40-25 vs. B1G teams. The PAC and B1G champions have played each other in the Rose Bowl 6 times in the last decade with the PAC going 5-1. If you go back 30 years as BYU fans are wont to do when talking football, it's still 17-10 in favor of the PAC.

3) Good for Wisconsin. They really needed it, considering their recent OOC History. Last year was UNLV, Oregon State, Northern Illinois, and South Dakota. In 2010 it was UNLV, San Jose State, Arizona State, and Austin Peay. In 2009 it was Fresno State, Northern Illinois, Wofford, and Hawaii. Their typical OOC schedule could be called weaker than a BYU November.

4) In spite of playing nine conference games in the second toughest conference in the country most years (I'll concede SEC superiority in spite of PAC teams going 12-11 vs. the SEC in the last decade) compared to Wisconsin playing 8 conference games in the 4th toughest conference in the country, Utah took it upon themselves to schedule a home and home with the winningest program in college football history, and you call that Utah "attempting to dumb down its schedule." Michigan =/= BYU because Michigan is a far, FAR superior opponent. Utah is dropping BYU to beef up its schedule; not dumb it down.

Utah will play at least 10 BCS teams per year going forward, so Utah is dumbing down the remaining two games only; not the schedule as a whole. It shouldn't take a genius to understand the difference between attempting to dumb down the two remaining games after a 10 BCS opponent gauntlet and dumbing down the schedule on the whole, like you claim Utah is doing. Out of 13 total games last season, Utah played 11 BCS opponents, and with Michigan and the rest of the B1G on the docket going forward, 11 will likely be the norm in bowl eligible years. You must be out of your mind if you think Utah needs BYU to add SOS or that dropping BYU is an attempt by Utah to rack up easy wins. Indeed, the easiest path to 10 wins is playing a schedule filled with teams like New Mexico State, San Jose State, the Idahos, Weber State, et al. and finish it off with a mid-major bowl opponent. If any schedule is dumbed down by taking a break from the holy war, it is BYU's. Losing your only multi-year home and home with a BCS team is not a good look. Maybe Notre Dame is willing to restructure your deal as a 3 for 1 to fill the void.
