It's understandable from their perspective, but it's apples and oranges

really. It's different because UNLV and BYU have always been conference foes, and have always played 1:1s. Changing that to a 2:1 seems unnecessary. Now had Utah St been in the same conf for years, we'd most likely be playing 1:1s with them as well, but we're not. So BYU's merely keeping the status quo for each team...
