Wrong. Not for the visiting team it doesn't.
These 1-1 contracts will almost always have an equal, reciprocal payment (for example, 250K) that goes to the visiting team, usually within a month or two after the game is played. The amount is always identical, so at the end of the day it's a wash financially. In other words, BYU doesn't get any more for a 1-1 with USU than it does for a 1-1 with anyone else (other than the increased revenue that BYU might get from ticket sales and concessions in Provo from a good opponent).
