Most people get away with stuff like that. The IRS doesn’t audit most people.
I wouldn’t want to get caught doing that though.
I know a guy who worked in construction. He built huge custom homes in Utah. He made hundreds of thousands a year but claimed $10,000 or $11,000 a year. Literally even numbers like that.
He never got caught.
Seems ill advised though.
