If BYU wanted a medical school it could be done quickly and easily in comparison. It would be an amazing school very quickly.
The issue is that the BOT don’t want to have a medical school or focus as much on research and graduate programs. Why? I’m not sure but if they did BYU would be able to knock it our of the park.
This takes nothing away from U of U. They have great graduate schools and the medical school is a good school, not great but good. I am biased on this too, but the medical school does put their graduate status ahead of ours. But undergraduate it’s not a question if we are to evaluate objectively.
