With all due respect, your first statement is absurd. To say nothing of BYU’s lack of facilities, Provo and Utah County as a whole lack the medical facilities that a major medical school requires.

Take a look at pill hill; U of U hospital, Huntsman Cancer Institute, Moran Eye Center, Primary Children’s Hospital, countless specialty clinics, etc. You think replicating that would be quick and easy?

It would take years and tons of money just to upgrade Utah Valley RMC from a trauma II to a trauma I, which IHC likely wouldn’t even want to do anyway but would be absolutely the minimum requirement for BYU to have a med school.

BYU will never have a med school, for reasons far more insurmountable than “the BoT doesn’t want one”
