Regardless of the university you go to. If you’re taking accounting 101 at Harvard, BYU, or UVU, you’re likely going to cover very similar material.
For me there was zero noticeable difference when I transferred to BYU from USU in difficulty of classes. The difference was I was in a room where 75-80% of the people cared about their grades, were disciplined, and worked hard, whereas the average student was much more casual Utah state. When graded on a curve, sure it was a little tougher to get an A at BYU, but it took virtually the same amount of effort to get a B+/A- at both schools (I was an accounting major. They intentionally inflate the average GPA, so their average bright hard working students don’t end up getting low 3 GPAs).
The point I’m making is that when people say BYU is “harder” than other schools, I think that is generally very misunderstood. From my experience BYU doesn’t give its students more or harder work than most average universities. It’s a little more crowded at the top, but to show up, get your degree, and get out of there with a 3.0-3.5 gpa, your workload is going to be quite similar across the board.
