We started making them play a sport once they hit highschool. I love sports, but my kids are just not into them.

Force them to learn music. Start them at the age they start to read.

We did that with all of our kids, one absolutely rebelled after a couple years

It was expected I take lessons until I could play the hymns. I hated it at first

Yes, we force them to do piano. They are generally fine with it. We also make them join Orchestra or Band in 5th grade

Encourage them to take band in school. Especially if they've done some piano.
