as he is at BYU, they will be competitive and go to a bowl game almost every year. However, just like McBride, he doesn't seem to have the ability to avoid a couple bad losses every year, continual mismanagement of the clock and timeouts, etc. Like McBride, it seems like his program is stagnant and needs a little life pumped into it.
When McBride was let go, he was the winningest head coach in Utah history. He turned a bad program around and made them competitive. He had a couple of 2 loss seasons and top 15 finishes. He went 6-7 against BYU. Ron McBride was a good coach who had done great things for Utah, yet they wanted more. When McBride was let go, everyone thought the U was crazy. They were never going to be better than what McBride was able to accomplish. Well, 12 years later and it's pretty obvious that that move paid off big time for Utah.
I think Bronco is good, but as a fan I want more and I don't think it's crazy to think that there is a better option out there.
