End of 2016, his contract expires. No need to have the "fire" conversation. But
Bronco is told that BYU is very grateful for his contributions to the program and his efforts in righting the ship. But after 12 years, the administration feels that it would be positive for everyone if some new blood is infused in the program. Bronco is now free to move to Montana with Holly and get out of the Utah Valley LDS culture that she dislikes.
Honestly, I would not be surprised if Bronco does not ask for his contract to be extended.
