Reality is, I did not do a poor job, I did a better than average job... could I
spend 5 minutes planning out every single lane change in a silent car wearing a bike helmet covered in an assortment of mirrors... I guess I could. You're right in that more can always be done but nobody is going consistently do that stuff... doing more than what I did is not realistic.

(knock on wood) I have never been in an accident... I'm 38 and have received 2 speeding tickets my entire life. I am very careful when driving which should not be surprising considering my gripe about motorcycles.

I'm not out to run over motorcycles, Its just when I read and hear about other bikers that do not have attitudes like my brother and others who posted on this thread it really bothers me bc no matter what, what they are doing is incredibly dangerous and will continue to be incredibly dangerous regardless of the number of billboards stating "start seeing motorcycles" (as if that helps) or other flavor of the week band-aids that will eventually fall off. Not accepting this reality makes it even more dangerous for everyone.
