I know 3 people who died on motorcycles. It was 100% their fault.

All 3 died going nearly twice the speed limit. Only one involved another car. I have nearly smashed a couple of them and it was 100% their fault for darting through traffic or driving over the speed limit in a turning lane.

But 99% of the motorcyclists I encounter on the road are driving appropriately. Those guys have something to complain about and have to drive with extreme caution.

About your analogy, I think most cases are like rock climbers complaining about people pushing boulders of the mountain without looking down.
