honest with ourselves. The direction of the program has gone down ever since we joined this league. You think it's easy to recruit when you play half your season in obscure HS gyms? You see no correlation the amount of players who have bolted the program early after playing a WCC schedule? You think it had no effect on Mika? Bryant? You can only make so many trips to those HS gyms before you ask yourself what am I doing? It doesn't even feel like D1. You think it's easy to get fans invested when you have no in state teams in your conference? When the highlight of the year outside of Gonzaga is the the San Francisco Dons? Seriously?

We have done nothing but move further apart from Gonzaga and closer to the likes of Portland since joining. The fact that we even asked to join was a boon for the WCC. Haha, it was like Notre Dame asking if they could join the old MWC.

We do not belong here. Sure, if we belonged here, fine. But we don't. We are too big of a program with too many fans and boosters to be pretending that the San Francisco Dons is a rivalry game.

The WCC was a landing spot. That's all. A landing spot from a bad decision. I have no problem continuing to complain as I firmly believe it's not in the best interest of our program.
