So is your complaint more about what the assistants are being paid and the budget for recruiting?

I agree with you there. We don’t have to hire LDS assistants so we should be paying good money to get the best assistants we can and we should be spending money on recruiting and on facilities. I agree completely there. I’d be just fine if we went after great coordinators and payed them more than the head coach. Our head coach options are not top dollar guys.

If we went after Kellen Moore, wed have to offer more money because his experience in the NFL and he will have more options than just us. And he also isn’t a BYU guy so more money would be needed to convince him to take it.

All the other guys? Meh. Pay them what we pay Kalani. That’s fine. We’re not getting Whittingham, Bronco, or Niumatololo to come to BYU so there goes the big money guys.
