My sister lived in OC

She just sold a nice 2,500 square foot remodeled home in a nice neighborhood for around $900K. House payments for that would be around $6K month. That means you'll want to net at least $11K month to live comfortably. Around $225K/year would get you there.

Yep you can do it on that. SoCal is much cheaper than the Bay Area. But even at 225 with a 900k home, that’s not a ton
