Its for sure a rivalry, maybe not arch rivals but it's a rivalry on three counts

1. Geography - schools are close by
2. History - play each other on a consistent basis
3. Competitiveness - Utah State crushed us back in 2018 and 2017, it has been competitive the last few years with BYU having a slight edge.

This game checks off all those.
