Do BYU fans care that much about USU?
Serious question. I live out of state and could care less. It would be like playing UNM annually.
Also BYU has had win streaks over utah too. Much closer rivalry over the past 40-50 years is my guess.
Differentiator in my mind is how fans view the two games. USU is played on a week night. Most BYU fans don’t care that much for this game vs every other game. Utah is a huge game. USU people start kind of caring week of the game.

Not a rivalry from an ND perspective, not at all. It is an annual game and both teams have respect for one another.
