Not a rivalry from an ND perspective, not at all. It is an annual game and both teams have respect for one another.
They are not rivals at all. This is a frequent game but not a rivalry at all.
There is no annual build up. ND fans and students could care less about this game, it is like BYU playing New Mexico yearly...just because they play it is not a rivalry.
ND has significant rivals....USC, Michigan, Stanford to a certain extent. Navy and ND has tradition but not a rivalry by any stretch of the imagination.
