The last weekend, the committee will see SEC, P12, B1G, and ACC champ games

all likely involving ranked teams playing each other.

And then, they will compare to the two Big 12 front runners, who will likely play unranked opponents that same weekend. I think they will absolutely focus on the winners of the championship games over the Big 12 champ - even if subconsciously.
