Here is the deal

The way the playoffs are setup, and if they expanded to 8 with the same plans, is that the Top 4 go. Therefore if it kept the same plan the Top 8 would go so BYU anywhere from 5-8 would get in.

In the current system there is no leaving you out of the playoff because a guy in an ugly jacket from the bowl thinks your team won't sell as much beer as the next team in line...
