I stand by my post. BYU's last second win in 2011 was not impressive. The rest of the post has nothing to do with the 2011 "should have/could have."
In 2012, USU lost to BYU but beat Utah. Utah beat BYU but lost to USU. In a situation like that, I would think the tiebreaker would be determined by final ranking (which favors USU).
Regardless, I bring these games up to illustrate the parity between the two programs, not to claim that USU has eclipsed the Cougars.
