While he is not number 1, I don't see any other mention of KVN here

so I want to throw his name out there. His junior year might be the best individual year for a LB at BYU of my lifetime. Note - I was born in 87, don't remember much before the 95 season.

Also - you would need to clarify whether or not you mean best football player to come out of BYU or best player at BYU. If it is best all time from BYU, how can you argue anyone but Steve Young? Best while at BYU? That's tougher.
