Sometimes the slow pace is really nice. I love walking a course and
figuring out my yardage etc.

That said, I've heard of speed golf where you run with a driver, 7-iron and putter and you have to finish within a certain time. Additionally, you get to discount strokes for each minute that you finished before the set time and you have to add strokes for each minute after the set time. Seems like a fun concept. It is done without a cart. It would be hard to keep a consistent swing with a fast heart rate. It seems like this would be both challenging and fun assuming the course was open with some "play-through" guidelines.
