BYU wasn't selected to be a part of the club that easily grants special bowls
BYU instead won enough and arranged to take the best bowl of the MWC which in past years was the top Go5 conference.
Utah belongs in the club with many bowls much better. And they did win enough games to go to one of those much better bowl but those other bowls didn't want them...hmmm
