I think the bigger issue was Utah's performance down the stretch. The team played ugly and did not promise to deliver an exciting product. I think that killed Utah's chances of a higher-rated bowl.

If you are saying that this meant that there would also be low fan support, then I guess I understand and can agree to a certain extent, since team performance and fan support can be linked. I guess our opinions might not be that far apart.
