And fewer offers = lazy recruiting?
Have you ever considered that Bronco and his staff may have put a lot of time into assessment and evaluation of players BEFORE they would offer them? What about the possibility that randomly sending out offer letters to the Scout 300 may actually be a form of laziness and that a small number of offers could actually be a sign of due diligence and work ethic?
Bronco admittedly did not like the aspect of recruiting where grown men were begging teenage boys to like and follow them (the older I get the more pathetic that also seems to me). However, I know from first-hand experience that he enjoyed and spent time on the assessment and evaluation component of recruiting.
