This idea has been largely debunked. It's the number of pitches thrown not the
Type of pitches thrown. A 12-6 curve at 10 yrs old is basically a glorified change up. A ten ur old can throw a fastball and curve with out issues with arm health. Total number of pitches thrown is more important.

Snapping off a 12-6 isn't close to the same thing as a circle change. Arm motion(especially in the elbow) is completely
