Especially if kids are throwing a knuckle curve (not a knuckleball look it up) or a 'little league' curve ball, where the forefinger is pointed straight and applies no pressure to the ball. I'm partial to kids throwing fast ball and Change and focus more on location but a curve, when coached properly, isn't damaging.
